SE Pennsylvania/Mid-Atlantic/Midwest trip
June 16-21, 2010
Day 1 (Wednesday, June 16)

These photos are from my trip to the Southeast Pennsylvania road meet and my jaunt through the Mid-Atlantic region and into the Midwest in June 2010. Photos are from West Virginia and Virginia. Thumbnails for the 305 photos span three pages. Use the arrow buttons in the upper left corner of the page to navigate the thumbnail pages. The first full day of my trip to the SE Pennsylvania meet found me heading north on US 119 out of Charleston, WV.

There are a few older US 119 signs along this portion of the route.

There are some signs showing WV 4 as an east-west route, but most of them designate it as north-south.

The I-79 bridge at the WV 4 Frametown exit was being painted.

Old bridge has had both its approaches removed but the main span still stands.

Very old traffic light on WV 4 in Frametown.

Another old traffic light.

Bridge crossing the Elk River in Frametown.

On I-79 heading north.

Looking east on US 33 at the beginning of Corridor H.

Some button copy remains along US 33.

Looks like this button copy sign is going to be replaced.

This area contains the highest mountains in West Virginia.
